Yang rose to prominence after appearing on season one of Taiwanese TV singing contest “One Million Star” in 2007, where his performance was rapturously received. He went on to release his debut album the following year, entitled “Dove”, which became one of the best-selling albums of the year, with tracks “Onion”, “Dove” and “Wind of Happiness” hitting the No. 1, 5 and 12 spots respectively on Taiwan's influential Hit FM Annual Top 100 Singles Chart.

For "2018 ASKA YANG VOCAL TOUR PLUS-MACAO" Yang called on the services of concert director Alice Cheung, who has collaborated with Hong Kong music legends, and is again working with renowned Taiwanese stylist Roger Cheng.
