Chinese New Year Dining Delight at Sands Resort Macao and Sands Macao


(Macao, Jan. 15, 2018) – Celebrate a splendid Chinese New Year’s ‘Year of the Dog’  with family and friends with an extensive range of festive dining offerings at The Venetian® Macao, The Parisian Macao, Sands® Cotai Central and Sands® Macao’s award-winning restaurants available from selected dates in February.
For this upcoming festive season Sands Resort Macao and Sands Macao are presenting exquisite set menus, buffets and à la carte treats to enable diners to indulge in prosperous delicacies as they welcome in a year of good fortune and happiness. 

The Venetian Macao
North: Specialising in northern Chinese and Sichuan cuisine, spacious and authentic North restaurant is offering a Chinese New Year Promotion Menu featuring a cold dish combination offering seven delicious items, including drunken goose liver with fresh soya beans and marinated poached spinach with crab meat and sea cucumber with vinegar dip. Hot dishes include braised dried seafood and mixed seafood and vegetable and slow-cooked Wagyu beef in Sichuan pepper broth.

Canton: An elegant restaurant offering Chinese New Year set menu and specialties menu. The six-course set menu features exquisite dishes such as deep-fried live Boston lobster with crab meat; and truffle, abalone, roasted duck with quinoa and abalone sauce in claypot. Meanwhile the specialties a la carte menu includes tempting selections such as lucky “Lo Hei” salmon; and slow-cooked whole Australian abalone.

Poon Choi takeaway: For those who want to experience Canton’s exceptional Poon Choi at home this Chinese New Year, incorporating mouth-watering ingredients such as braised abalone, sea cucumber, fish maw, dried scallop, dried oyster, sea prawn, sea moss, roasted pork belly and goose web, it is available as a takeaway priced MOP 1,688* (for 4 people). Bambu: To help usher in Chinese New Year a sumptuous buffet is available at Bambu from Feb. 15-20. The popular restaurant has specially prepared a series of festive dishes, including crayfish with rice wine; stir-fried lotus root with fish meat and pine nuts; and a Thai-style beef steak carving station.

The Parisian Macao
Lotus Palace: Lotus Palace is offering three delicious set menus priced at MOP 2,888* (for four people), MOP 8,888* (for eight people) and MOP 11,888* (for 10 people). Expect to see luxury and auspicious items such as prosperity “Lo Hei” South African abalone, salmon and surt clam yu sheng platter; double-boiled sea whelk soup with fish maw and more. Lotus Palace also offers a Chinese New Year à la carte menu as well as “Lo Hei” menu, which includes braised soon hock fish and roasted pork belly with bean curd skin, stir-fried king prawn with long bean and Poon Choi for four people. Le Buffet: This year, celebrate the special occasion with lunch or dinner at one of the most varied international buffets you will find in Macao. In addition to the wide range of salads, antipasti, sushi and sashimi, seafood, pasta, Chinese and Indian delicacies, lunch features an Australian prime rib carving station while dinner adds foie gras cooked to order, Boston lobster thermidor station and truffle risotto tossed in a parmesan wheel.

The Londoner Macao
Dynasty 8 is offering a scrumptious nine-course Chinese New Year set menu that symbolises good luck, prosperity and health. Available for lunch and dinner, it features exquisite traditional selections including double-boiled superior soup with dendrobe flowers, seaweed pearl and fish maw; braised dried oysters with sea moss, black mushrooms, lettuce and abalone; and steamed red spotted grouper with soya sauce. At MOP 888* per set menu, minimum order is for six persons.

Grand Orbit is featuring a sumptuous Chinese New Year buffet, featuring Mediterranean, Western, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Southeast Asian and Indian specialities, as well as chilled fresh seafood on ice.

The Lounge: A delicious East-meets-West afternoon tea will be served at The Lounge to celebrate Chinese New Year, and includes a selection of both savoury and sweet traditional treats, along with a choice of tea or coffee or two special CNY cocktails or mocktails. The experience is priced at MOP 268* and the deluxe tea set at MOP 298*, which also includes a Conrad Chinese New Year Bear or Duck.

Sands Macao 
Golden Court: Elegant Golden Court Cantonese restaurant has put together some delicious dishes for the special festive occasion, including “fortunate tossed” seafood salad, braised wok-fried Boston lobster and dim sum items including crispy fried pork and sea cucumber dumplings, steamed pork siu mai with sea conch and braised pork knuckle with sea moss.

888 Buffet: Treat family and friends with festive lunch and dinner buffets at 888 Buffet.
